ODDSOCKS PRODUCTIONS

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS

We can offer a range of stand-alone workshops or workshops to accompany our stage performances. To give you an idea of the kinds of workshops we offer we list below some of the options:

*All workshops can be adapted to suit ages 7-11, 11-18 and 18+

Workshops need to be a minimum of 2 hours in length and depending upon the style of workshop can be for groups of 20 to 50 participants.

ACTING WORKHOPS 

Perfect for: getting people to be creative together, enhancing group or class dynamic, working together and having fun together. 

Includes drama games, improvisation, presentation, “play in a day”,

Suitable for all ages and environments; Oddsocks has presented acting workshops for primary, secondary and further education as well as within industries inc; Rolls Royce, The NHS, IMI, Prisons, community groups.

THE SHAKESPEARE MASTERCLASS

Perfect for: groups of students of any age and ability who have an interest in Shakespeare text

The participants become the directors of scenes from the play being studied:

Includes teamwork, quick fire quiz on the play, opportunity to direct our professional actors in key scenes from the play, chances to play supporting roles within scenes.

Q&A

Students watch a performance by Oddsocks and then have opportunity to ask questions of the director regarding artistic choices, actors regarding their work and professional lives/experience, producer regarding the business of theatre and any other questions which are relevant to the group’s learning objectives.

In keeping with Oddsocks’ U.S.P all our workshops are fun, engaging, inclusive and lighthearted.

We provide experienced actor/facilitators.

Costs

Workshops are based upon a daily rate of £250 + VAT per tutor + suitable expenses, (the day can be divided up into a series of workshops throughout the day if required).  Suitable meal and rest breaks apply. For Q&A costs please contact us to quote.
