YOUNG REVIEWER - LAUREN HYDE YOUNG REVIEWER - LAUREN HYDE Lauren Hyde came to see Oddsocks' Romeo and Juliet and took part in our Young Reviewers scheme, here are her thoughts: This was one of the best shows I have seen by far. I always love the audience participation but this was some of the greatest being part of the mods was funny and highly entertaining. I have already recommended Oddsocks to many of my friends especially advising them to go see Macbeth next week. After watching Romeo and Juliet I finally understood the beauty of Shakespeare. My favourite but has to be the death scene at the end it was funny, over the top and everything i… YOUNG REVIEWER: EMILY PYE YOUNG REVIEWER: EMILY PYE Emily Pye is a Young Reviewer for Oddsocks. She came to see Romeo and Juliet at Markeaton Park Carft Village on 14 June, here are her thoughts: Oddsocks has been around for 28 years - they started in 1989 and have been making hilarious productions ever since (my parents have enjoyed watching them on and off for the last 25 years). Here's what he made of his week: I was greatly excited when I received confirmation that I would be spending a weeks work experience at Oddsocks. Through knowing people involved in the company I had always admired their work from afar as it incorporated some of my favourite things: Shakespeare, Comedy, Theatre, and Adaption. However now I was going to see intimately how the company worked and I could not wait. The week did not disappoint. I spent the first two days working in the oddsocks' office with… YOUNG REVIEWER: BRYONY AGAR YOUNG REVIEWER: BRYONY AGAR Bryony Agar, Age 14 Romeo and Juliet at Queen's Hall Arts Centre, Hexham Oddsocks burst onto stage with another fantastic performance at The Queen’s Hall in Hexham. The show was an almost pantomime-esque, Mods and Rockers version of Romeo and Juliet. Previously, their summer shows have been outside which I must say I preferred as it added uniqueness and a more inclusive atmosphere. However, it was pouring down with rain on the night so perhaps it was better that it was indoors! I loved the way that they interacted with the audience through the whole show, including at the start and…
