Currently Casting:
Oddsocks are casting a 1955 style version of The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Doubled role of Mistress's Page and Quickly is cast and we are looking for 3 men and 1 woman to complete the cast of five. Applicants must be quick workers with good comedy skills and experience in performing Shakespeare. The ability to play a musical instrument to performance standard is preferable particularly guitar, double bass and drums and vocals as the music of the production will be skiffle. A base in Derby is an advantage, as is a clean driving licence (please indicate if you have either on your application clearly). First auditions and recalls take place in Derby weeks beginning 3rd and 10th October.
Rehearses in Derby for two weeks from 14th November and then tours nationally and to the channel Isles until 25th February, possible extension for a week in London.
Equity guideline weekly wage is offered plus accommodation and travel whilst on tour and accommodation for rehearsals if necessary.
